Dr. Aparnath, began his medical career in the United States with an Internship and Residency at Winthrop-University Hospital, Mineola, NY Clinical Campus, Stony Brook University School of Medicine followed with Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Winthrop-University Hospital, Mineola, NY.
He has been practicing Critical Care Medicine for over 20 years, serving the community of Orange County. He moved to the United States in 2000, after completing his Medical Degree in Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India Degree: M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery)

The only recommended screening test for lung cancer is low-dose computed tomography (also called a low-dose CT scan, or LDCT). During an LDCT scan, you lie on a table and an x-ray machine uses a low dose (amount) of radiation to make detailed images of your lungs. The scan only takes a few minutes and is not painful.
